I love some afternoon hockey and that is doubly true when the players show up in a particularly surly mood.

I'm not sure if Arizona Coyotes star defenseman Oliver Ekman Larsson woke up on the wrong side of the bed on Saturday morning but for whatever reason Ekman Larsson decided that he would be throwing down with one of the National Hockey League's tough customers in St. Louis Blues forward Brayden Schenn

Now Schenn is by no means an enforcer or player of that type, but he is a player that has routinely shown a willingness to play the body as well as a willingness to drop the gloves. In spite of the fact that Schenn is no stranger to the fight game, Ekman Larsson showed absolutely no fear of the St. Louis Blues forward and that remained true even after he ate some solid looking shots from Schenn during their scrap.

In fact this was a pretty fantastic back and forth affair between the two talented players, with Schenn seemingly getting the better of the Coyotes defenseman in the early going but with Ekman Larsson closing out the fight strong and arguably ending the battle with the punishment that he was delivering to Schenn during his rally back.

This one however is too close to call, so let us know who you guys think takes the win.
