Milan Lucic manhandles Austin Watson.

A total mismatch.

Full credit to Ottawa Senators forward Austin Watson for trying to get his team back into a game where they were showing very little life, but there's no question after seeing the outcome of this one that he bit off more than he could chew.

On Saturday afternoon Watson and his Senators faced off against the Calgary Flames in what quickly turned into yet another ugly game for a Senators team that has struggled badly this season. Less than 5 minutes into the game the Flames had already taken a commanding 2 - 0 lead over the Senators and Watson was clearly trying to spark his team when he decided to face off against Flames forward Milan Lucic.

It was a huge mistake on the part of Watson who was completely dominated in the fight, and I don't think it's an exaggeration to suggest that Lucic made him look like a child in comparison. The way the Flames big man absolutely ragdolled Watson around on the ice was nothing short of awe inspiring and I strongly suspect that Watson will think twice about getting on the wrong side of Lucic in the future.

It is worth nothing that there is something of a history between these two competitors, so it may have been that Watson was also seeking to settle a personal score in this one. I doubt that would be the case however, even Watson had to have known that he was outmatched in this one and I do suspect that this was purely an effort to spark his team.
