A fantastic goal from Gaudreau.

The Calgary Flames have not had a great season but they may give their fans a few highlights on the way out, although no doubt the segment of their fan base hoping to see them earn a higher draft pick by losing won't be too pleased about it.

On Sunday night the Flames torched the Ottawa Senators in a 6 - 1 blowout and the highlight of the night may have come from much maligned forward Johnny Gaudreau who scored on a rather impressive effort from his backside.

Gaudreau was gifted a breakaway roughly halfway through the game's first period but it was clear that he was off balance pretty much from the moment he touched the puck. In spite of that, and in spite of having a defender in close proximity, Gaudreau managed to find a way to put the puck in the back of the net while he was falling to the ice.

The whole thing made for a rather comical scene as Gaudreau ended up on his backside as the puck made its way across the goal line, putting the first of many tallies on the board for the Flames that night.
