Bruins mic up Brad Marchand and hilarity ensues.

The Boston Bruins have done a really great job of giving us a behind the scenes look at their team this season with their "Behind The B" series and on Sunday they shared a preview of their latest episode.

That preview centered entirely on veteran forward Brad Marchand, one of the league's most notorious agitators, and showed an interesting side of the  pest that many fans may not be used to seeing. Now if you were expecting to see Marchand up to his usual tricks you're going to be dissapointed, after all the Bruins would never deliberately try and make one of their own players look bad. That being said though it did capture some pretty good taunts on the part of Marchand as well as some other interesting tidbits from his time out on the ice.

Notable during the clip was a discussion with Tom Wilson in which the Capitals forward openly discussed the injury of Capitals star forward Alex Ovechkin, something that may come as a surprise to a lot of fans used to seeing these two butting heads more often than not. Wilson was pretty open stating that the injury had come as the result of being stuck by a shot, with Marchand even appearing to express concern over the injured star.

Marchand also showcased the fact that he is by no means a player obsessed with his own stat line, even going so far as to apologize at numerous points during the highlight for putting the puck in the back of the net when he felt a teammate had earned the goal or when trying to seek out a teammate to whom to give the puck to. It certainly doesn't fit the stereotype one would expect of what is undoubtedly one of the most hated players in the National Hockey League, but then again fans in Boston who have interacted with him off the ice or who have seen him do work in his community have already seen this side of Marchand before.

You can check out the Marchand focused highlight in the clip below courtesy of the Boston Bruins.

And if you want to check out the full 20+ minute episode of the latest installment of Behind the B, you can see that just below as well.
