Wife of Sabres goalie Carter Hutton wins the lottery!

Some guys just have all the luck...

Take Buffalo Sabres goaltender Carter Hutton for example. Not only is the guy an elite NHL athlete with the a nice little $2.75 million annual pay check, he also happens to be married to the very beautiful Stacey Hutton who just happened to add a tidy little $50,000 lottery winning to their bank account. Stacey, who lives in hers and Carter's hometown of Thunder Bay, Ontario, cashed in a $50,000 lottery ticket this past weekend according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

THUNDER BAY – Stacey Hutton has a way with words.
The 30-year-old, who describes herself as an occasional lottery player, recently hit it big with the Quest for Gold Crossword game, turning a gift from her husband, Buffalo Sabres goaltender Carter Hutton, into a $50,000 jackpot win.

“I love instant tickets and get them as gifts from friends and family. This ticket was a Christmas gift from my husband," she said. At first though, she wasn't aware of just how much she had won.

“I thought I matched seven words, but my dad looked at it and said it looks like more. When we listed each word and realized I matched 11 words, I thought my family was pranking me,” Hutton said. “It was so surreal, I barely remember the moment,” Hutton said in an Ontario Lottery and Gaming press release.

Hutton said that she plans to save some of the money for a family trip once COVID-19 travel restrictions are lifted, but also said that she plans on giving back to her community in Thunder Bay with her winnings.

“I’ve decided this is an excellent opportunity to make some donations to charities who have taken a hit during the pandemic,” Hutton said.
