Montreal Canadiens forward Tyler Toffoli already knows what it takes to lift the Stanley Cup, having done so as a member of the Los Angeles Kings in 2014.

He's continuing to ply his championship-winning trade with the Montreal Canadiens, one of the most historic franchises in all of sports. And he's having quite the Stanley Cup Playoff run as he's looking for a title trifecta.

Thanks to Toffoli's goal tonight in Game 2 of Montreal's third-round playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights, he now owns the longest point streak in the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs, which currently sits at eight games and counting. Additionally, he's now a single point away from matching the longest streak in Canadiens playoff history.

Who are the two current leaders? None other than franchise legends Larry Robinson (9 game point streak in 1978) and Guy Lafleur (9 game point streak in 1977).

You're certainly living right when you're right behind two of the greatest players in franchise history.

And of course, it wasn't just offense that Toffoli provided for his team tonight. He also helped break up what would have been a prime scoring chance at the side of the net for Golden Knights captain Mark Stone, diving to the ice to break up a cross-ice pass from the top of the face-off circle late in the 3rd period to preserve their Montreal's one goal lead.

Thanks to his efforts, the Habs ultimately would hold on in Game 2, emerging from the scorching Nevada heat with a 3-2 victory to tie the series at 1-1 apiece. Game 3 will be at Bell Centre on Friday night starting at 8:00 PM EST.
