All eyes are on Winnipeg Jets sniper Patrik Laine these days after the 22 year old's trade request became public this past offseason. Will he finish the season in Winnipeg? Or is he destined for a new home in the NHL?

South of the border the Columbus Blue Jackets are going through the same scenario with their own 22 year old budding star in Pierre-Luc Dubois. The Blue Jackets' top line center has reportedly requested a trade as well, leading many to wonder if a Laine for Dubois swap might be on the table for the Jets and Blue Jackets.

And those trade rumors swirled wildly when simultaneously Laine was pulled out of his team's practice early and Dubois was benched for much of the 2nd period in his team's afternoon game against the Detroit Red Wings. Is this it? Is it actually happening?

Nope. At least, not yet.

As it turns out, Laine injured himself during practice and will miss tonight's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

As for Dubois, Tortorella rolled him back out for the third period, just in time for him to score his first goal of the season and secure a 3-2 victory for the Blue Jackets.

Nothing to see here. At least, not yet.
