Trade brewing between Bruins and Coyotes
HF

This is going to be a long night for the Arizona Coyotes. As you know, the team, under the ruling by commissioner Gary Bettman, the Coyotes forfeited their second-round pick (49th overall) in 2020 and their first-round pick in 2021, which turned out to be the 11th overall selection. This happened because the Coyotes acknowledged that it had violated the policy by conducting physical testing on 2020 draft-eligible players prior to the combine.

And so, nothing will happen at the draft tonight for Arizona.

However, this does not rule out a trade. According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, “there has been continued dialogue between the Coyotes and Bruins this week, with multiple players names out there, including some Bruins prospects.”

“I’m curious if they get to the finish line. BOS has been linked to several AZ players.”

This could be something to watch for tonight if ever some picks in later rounds are involved in a trade.

The Bruins have been active on the trade market and could finalize a deal with Arizona, as Pagnotta points out that general manager Don Sweeney was been looking at several players from the desert.

To be continued…
