Tom Wilson's night is over due to injury and Buchnevich ejected for cross check to the face

This just in, Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson will NOT return to action in tonight's game against the New York Rangers. He's suffering from an upper body injury.

Wilson dropped the gloves, somewhat unwillingly, with Rangers defenceman Brendan Smith earlier in the game, just seconds after an opening game line brawl.

In a related move Pavel Buchnevich earned himself a five minute major for cross checking Anthony Mantha in the face.

This is obviously all on the heels of Wilson's non-suspension for absolutely rag-dolling both Buchnevich and Artemi Panarin on Monday night. The irony here is that Buchnevich himself is likely looking at a suspension from NHL Player Safety. Suffice it to say that things are getting UGLY at MSG.
