Team USA’s Zegras calls out Team Canada right before gold medal game!

Team USA’s Trevor Zegras isn’t afraid of karma. Or Team Canada for that matter. 

On Tuesday, hours ahead of the gold medal at the 2021 world juniors in Edmonton between Team USA and Team Canada, the American forward Zegras didn’t hold back in his interview, calling out the Canadians. 

“I honestly don’t think they’ve been tested with a real team yet, I think we’re going on all cylinders right now and I think we’re going to catch them by surprise.”

This is bold from the forward, whose tied with Canada’s Dylan Cozens with 16 points in the tournament as both players will be looking to earn the scoring title with Canada and USA facing off in the final. 

When Zegras called out the Canadians, their head coach Andre Tourigny said that he thinks Trevor Zegras is a good player but he doesn’t care what he thinks.
