Team Canada's goal song for World Juniors is getting mixed reviews

Call me a nerd, but I love to absolutely geek out on hockey goal songs. I have a few favourites in the NHL, but to me none of them come even close to the ridiculous song that Team Canada used at the 2018 World Junior Championships.

Remember this beauty?

That's "Hey Baby (Uhh, Ahh)" by European electronic dance musician DJ Otzi. It's ridiculous, it's catchy as Hell and God damn if I wasn't singing that song in my head for weeks after the 2018 World Juniors.

This time around though Team Canada is going country with their goal song for the 2021 World Junior Championship and I gotta say... I hate it.

Check it out:

Woof... what a dog of a tune.

Maybe it's because I'm not a country guy, but this is AWFUL to me. One thing is clear though: The western WHL influence on this team is beginning to shine through.
