This time, it was done at home in front of over 18,000 fans - the right way.

Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos raised the Stanley Cup for the second consecutive season, albeit after he'd been able to participate in the championship round. It was a moment several years in the making after the Lightning decided to make Stamkos the No. 1 overall selection in the 2008 NHL Draft.

Stamkos would pass the Cup soon afterwards to stalwart defenseman Victor Hedman, and the legendary trophy began making the rounds on the ice.

Of course, the Lightning have repeated as Cup champions after having won last year in the NHL bubble in Edmonton in an empty Rogers Centre thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. And thanks to a torso injury, Stamkos appeared in less than three total minutes during the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs, scoring a goal in Game 3 of the Final against the Dallas Stars.

He was a full participant in the annual tournament of 2021, scoring eight goals along with 10 assists.
