Here's a story you don't see everyday...

Reality TV star and investment expert Robert Herjavec of Shark Tank and Dragon's Den rescued a stranded family on Lake Joseph in Ontario when their boat ran out of gas in the middle of the lake. With the sun setting, the family of four shouted and gestured for someone to help them when Herjavec pulled up on his jet-ski to see what the commotion was all about.

Herjavec found Tom Lawson, a 41 year old former pro goaltender with 10 years of experience in the AHL, ECHL, KHL, SHL and Finnish Liiga, his wife and his children stranded in the middle of the lake. Together they managed to tie the boat to Herjavec's jet ski and Herjavec was able to tow them back to their cabin on the shore.

"My first thought was they must love 'Shark Tank,' but then I realized they were out of gas and stranded," Herjavec told People magazine.

"Did my good deed for the day," Herjavec later said on Instagram.
