The 32nd NHL franchise officially has a new member of their brand new squad.

Forward Ryan Donato has been signed by the Seattle Kraken to a one year contract with a reported cap hit of $750,000:

He was drafted 56th overall in the 2014 NHL Draft by the Boston Bruins, where he played until he was dealt to the Minnesota Wild in the successful deal that saw Charlie Coyle head East. He was subsequently signed by the Wild to a two-year, $3.8 million extension.

Prior to the shortened 2020-21 NHL Season, Donato was dealt to the San Jose Sharks for a draft pick. He'd go on to tally six goals and 14 assists in 50 games played in his only season wearing the teal and black.

In 180 career NHL games, Donato has scored 35 goals with 42 assists along with 30 PIM.
