His answer to the violence : more violence.

The news has been all over the National Hockey League since Monday night when Washington Capitals’ Tom Wilson punched New York Rangers forward Pavel Buchnevich in the back of the head while he was facedown on the ice, while also throwing star Artemi Panarin to the ice in the ensuing scrum. He was only fined $5000 for his actions.

While the Rangers put out a statement, demanding that the NHL fire the head of the NHL’s Department of Player Safety George Parros, who failed to suspend indefinitely a repeat offender like Wilson, a former member of the Blue Shirts, Sean Avery, wanted to give the players another solution.

Avery was one of the dirtiest player in the league to have worn the colours of the Rangers and we wonder if he would have pulled the moves Wilson has done ever since he got going in the league. However, Avery wants to see this happen : he would like to see the Rangers attack the Caps’ goalie once he got to retrieve the puck behind his net during Wednesday night’s match. Here is how he explains it, though he still believes Branden Holtby is the goalie in Washington.

Several former NHLers have given their point of view on what took place in the chaotic scene created by Wilson. John Scott himself invited the Rangers to invite the biggest goon from Hartford to take care of business and go after Alex Ovechkin or Nicklas Backstrom.

We had to expect Avery to come and chime in with a violent solution. Players making “things right” since the league won’t do anything, clearly!
