Sabres players and coach get ripped to shreds in live press conference

General manager Kevyn Adams might had held one of few press conferences since he took over the Buffalo Sabres, his players and head coach will remember the one he held on Friday.

Off the bat, Adams stated that the Sabres’ performance was unacceptable and refused to give coach Ralph Krueger his vote of confidence. He stated that he is looking at all possible moves and coaching is amongst the decisions, he and only he will make.

Clearly angry with the situation, Adams added that he wants fans and players to be as well since it shows how much you care.

Then, one reporter went on to slam the Sabres’ players, head coach and even the GM as the tough season is clearly hard on everyone involved: “Reporter says team is playing disgraceful, players playing like they don’t give a damn. Also asks Adams to be more available to media and fans when he is requested to speak.”

Adams went on to say that he is browsing the trade market looking at potential move who could boost the team. He didn’t want to invest in a full rebuild, but is looking at what can be done in a challenging shortened season with a flattened salary cap.

”I’m waking up every day looking for solutions… I’m on the phone every team, and I think what’s interesting, with all the protocols and quarantine, it’s going to be a challenging year. . . Teams clearly know where we’re at.”
"I don't believe in a full-fledge (rebuild)... For me, I have to be willing to do anything in my roll to make this team better, period."

Adams explained how his captain Jack Eichel did not demand a trade out of Buffalo and how he is keeping in touch with Jeff Skinner and his agent about the fact that he was benched for several games in the past weeks.

Everyone appears to be motivated to get better in Buffalo and we just hope that the messages were clear in this very intense press conference.
