The hits just keep on coming for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

After having already lost their captain and one of their top forwards after John Tavares was struck in the head by the knee of veteran Montreal Canadiens forward Corey Perry, it is now starting to look like the Leafs might have lost yet another forward to injury. Although nothing has been confirmed by the Leafs at the time of this writing, notably absent from the Maple Leafs practice ahead of Game 3 on Monday was recently acquired forward Nick Foligno.

Keen observers were quick to notice that Foligno was limping when he excited the ice after Game 2 of the Leafs series against the Montreal Canadiens, and although it is only conjecture and speculation at this time that and his absence from practice today may be connected.

Stay tuned for more details.

Update: NHL insider Elliotte Friedman is reporting that Foligno will play in Game 3 despite missing today's practice, obviously great news for the Maple Leafs.
