Robin Lehner comments on how he sees a fight with Jake Paul playing out.

As much as I would like to see this go down I must admit I don't believe we ever get to see this fight, but a boy can dream.

In case you've been living under a rock, a rather big event took place last weekend in which world famous Youtuber Jake Paul entered the boxing ring to take on former National Basketball Association star Nate Robinson. The fight drew a ton of eyeballs, most of whom I have no doubt were tuning in with the hopes of seeing Jake Paul get beat up, which is why when Paul scored a knockout it caused a metaphorical explosion on social media.

Everyone was talking about this fight after the fact, including more than a few players from the National Hockey League, and interestingly enough a number of professional athletes were offering up their services to be the next man in the ring with Paul. This included at least 3 NHL players, those being San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane as well as Las Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner and fellow Golden Knights teammate Ryan Reaves. Although I do believe Reaves would genuinely take up the challenge were it offered to him, it seems clear to me that both Kane and Lehner were the most serious about it.

"I would **** you up," wrote Lehner following the fight between Paul and Robinson.

Now you could be forgiven for thinking this was merely a heat of the moment kind of statement on the part of Lehner who has been known to be something of a hot head in the past, but Lehner made it clear this week that this was not the case. When asked recently about the possibility of fighting Paul inside the ring, Lehner expressed with great confidence that he would beat the Youtube star between the ropes.

"I believe I would destroy him," Lehner told TSN.

I don't know what kind of training Lehner has in combat sports, and as we all saw in the case of Robinson even professional athletes need training if they are to step into the ring against a trained opponent, but he certainly has the 'crazy' required to get in the ring. I mean after all it was only roughly 3 years ago that an enraged Lehner tried to get at Dustin Byfuglien, widely viewed as one of the strongest and toughest men in the NHL at the time, and needed several men, and a net, to restrain him.

How do you think this fight would play out?
