Report: Short update on Zach Hyman after last night's injury

An ugly knee on knee hit took the Leafs forward out of action, but for how long?

In case you missed it last night, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Zach Hyman left his team's game against the Vancouver Canucks after taking a brutal knee-on-knee hit from Canucks veteran Alex Edler.

Here's the hit in question:


As a result Edler has been suspended two games by NHL Player Safety. He was also assessed a give minute major and a game misconduct during the game. 

While we don't yet have an official update on Hyman's status, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun reports that Hyman was scheduled to have an MRI today in Vancouver.
