Report: Rangers in talks with four teams on potential DeAngelo trade

According to a report from TSN and NBC hockey insider Bob McKenzie, there are at least four or five teams interested in New York Rangers defenceman Tony DeAngelo on the trade market. McKenzie identifies the Calgary Flames, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks as four of those teams, but also mentions that if the Rangers can't find a trade partner for DeAngelo they will simply sit him all year and then buy him out during the offseason.

From the Bobfather himself:

I have to say... I'm pretty shocked that any teams have interest in DeAngelo. Obviously the guy carries a tremendous amount of baggage with him and he could serve to be a bigger distraction than he's worth. But, put his personal flaw aside and well... DeAngelo's play has been awful this season. He's making nearly $5 million per season for this year and next year and he has a dreadful one point and a -6 rating in six games so far this season. Do you suddenly see him putting all this behind him and putting up another 50+ point season in the NHL? Because that's what you'll be paying for. Frankly, I can't see it. Buyer beware.
