And they expect this guy to log 20+ mins on Friday? He's like 100 pounds to begin with!

It's been a wasted season for the Vancouver Canucks and frankly, it's a season that most Canucks fans would just prefer to forget.

Not only did the young team struggle on the ice this season, they were hit with a massive COVID-19 outbreak that affected pretty much the entire roster and coaching staff. They're well out of the playoff picture and haven't played a game in over three weeks. Still... the NHL expects them to resume play this Friday with just one day's practice to prepare? This is not going to go well.

There's concern especially for 21 year old superstar in the making Quinn Hughes who reportedly had such a difficult case that he was forced to use an IV drip and lost body weight as a result of his illness.

Check out this second hand report from Canucks insider Matt Sekeres:

For a guy who's just listed at 180 pounds to begin with... I'm not sure Hughes will have the strength to contribute in his usual way. He's the team's #1 defenceman and regularly plays 25 minutes a night.
