Just like Chicago Blackhawks’ Patrick Kane back in 2010, Marie-Philip Poulin knew it was in.

Team Canada and Team USA faced off in the finals of the Women’s World Hockey Championship and offered fans the most intense games of the tournament.

After the Americans took a 2-0 lead in the first period, the Canadians tie the game up and pushed it in sudden-death overtime. This is where Poulin took care of business and added a Kane flair to her goal.

Poulin sniped the puck and it hit the crossbar only to fall back into the net. She knew it and started celebrating, but the officials did not call it a goal so the game went on.

After several seconds of review, the referees confirmed it was a goal, giving Team Canada its first goal in nine years at the Worlds.

Simply amazing. Check it out:

Unfortunately for Blayre Turnbull, she got injured during the celebrations and was forced out of the ice.

She did manage to return for the medals, but was laying on a stretcher. So Canadian!

Gotta love! Congratulations Team Canada!
