Penguins offer an unsettling update on Tristan Jarry's condition

In case you missed it last night, despite holding a 2-0 lead through 20 minutes, Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry did not take the ice for his team's game against the New York Islanders in the second period. Taking his spot was backup Casey DeSmith who secured the win. Taxi squad and AHL netminder Emil Larmi is dressed and sat on the bench in the backup position.



As for Jarry though... Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan did offer up a cryptic explanation after the fact saying that Jarry was removed from the game by the team's medical staff. He's out day to day with an upper body injury.
