Pittsburgh Penguins forward Zach Aston Reese has tested positive for COVID-19, according to Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan.

"I think our team overall has really done a great job with respect to this stuff," said Sullivan. "It's remarkable to think that since the beginning of this pandemic, this is the first COVID case that we've had as a group. So we're keeping our fingers crossed that it stops there."

It's worth noting that Aston-Reese is reportedly fully vaccinated.

The 27 year old Aston Reese has been removed from the Penguins' training camp, but it's safe to assume that he's been in close contact with his teammates since camp opened late last week. It's unclear what this means for the rest of the team, but I'd assume that each player will undergo daily testing under it's confirmed that no one else is sick.

Stay tuned.
