Patrick Kane makes his pick for the Hart Trophy and USA Hockey fans aren't liking it!

Superstar Patrick Kane is having himself another incredible with the Chicago Blackhawks. With 13 goals and 49 points in just 37 games, Kane ranks 3rd in the NHL for points, behind Edmonton Oilers superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. As you might expect, Kane's success this season has earned him some Hart Trophy nomination chatter.

But here's the problem... Kane isn't having any of it. 

When asked who Kane thinks should win the trophy he had an easy answer: McDavid.

 Now, USA Hockey fans aren't liking that because Kane chose McDavid over Kane's fellow American Auston Matthews. Matthews, of course, leads the NHL in scoring with 24 goals in 33 games. But here's the thing... Kane's right. It's gotta be McDavid. 

I mean, Matthews is an outstanding player. Ditto for Draisaitl and Kane himself. But McDavid has nearly 10 points more than anyone else in the points race. The next closest player is his linemate in Draisaitl. I'm sorry Leafs fans and American hockey fans but Kaner's right... nobody can touch McDavid.
