Optimus Prime once again appears on San Jose Sharks goaltender James Reimer's newest mask

Veteran goaltender James Reimer earned the nickname "Optimus Prime" during his years with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and The Transformers protagonist has been a mainstay on Reimer's mask artwork through the years. 

Reimer is now in his second tour of duty with the San Jose Sharks, returning to the organization that came within two wins of the Stanley Cup in 2016. Reimer served as backup to starter Martin Jones after his acquisition by the Sharks at the 2016 Trade Deadline, and he'll compete for the starter's position this year opposite the newly acquired Adin Hill.

Reimer's career has seen him suit up for the Maple Leafs, Sharks, Florida Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes, and he sports a career record of 173-131-43 with a 2.79 goals against average and .913 save percentage with 24 shutouts.
