The Edmonton Oilers have traded defenceman Ethan Bear to the Carolina Hurricanes.
The return is Warren Foegele from Carolina.
The Oilers' right side on the blue line was getting pretty crowded with reports that the team has re-signed Tyson Barrie to a three-year deal, along hot shot puck-moving rookie Evan Bouchard keeping his spot. It became more and more obvious that Bear would be on the move.
In 43 games last season for the Oilers, Bear posted two goals with six assists.
