Oilers forced to use emergency recall on goalie Skinner after presumed injury
Some serious confusion in Edmonton as they prepare for tonight's re-match against the Canucks

This just in, the Edmonton Oilers have recalled goaltender Stuart Skinner from their taxi squad on an emergency basis for tonight's game against the Vancouver Canucks.
Check it out:
It's not yet known why Skinner needed to be recalled, but it's assumed that there has been an injury or an illness to either Mikko Koskinen or Mike Smith, the Oilers' two starting goaltenders. More details to come, but suffice it to say that this is exactly the type of situation the Oilers were looking to avoid by signing veteran Anton Forsberg to be their #3 netminder. A waiver claim from the Carolina Hurricanes on Forsberg though has thrust Skinner into the spotlight.
Skinner, a 22 year old Edmonton native, has played just one full season of AHL hockey with the Bakersfield Condors, putting up a sub-par 3.21 goals against average and .892 save percentage in 41 games last season.
