Don't look now but HOCKEY'S BACK!

The puck has officially dropped on the 2021 NHL season with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers opening up the season in Philadelphia. The first frame of the game was entertaining as Hell... but maybe that's just my nostalgia speaking? In any case, you can't help but get absolutely wrapped up in this game given the delay that we've had in starting the campaign.

And you think you've been waiting awhile for NHL hockey? How about Nolan Patrick? The former Flyers 2nd overall pick missed the entire 2019-20 season due to an ongoing migraine issue, but all reports are that Patrick is healthy now and... well wouldn't you know it? The kid scored a goal in his first period back.

Check out his deflection on Erik Gustafsson's point shot to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead in the first period:

That's the kid's first goal in 650 games. His first goal since March, 2019. I love it. Hard not to cheer for this kid given all he's gone through over the past calendar year. Hopefully for the Flyers this is a sign of things to come.
