NHL announces new “transition rules” for 2021-22 season

This just in from NHL insider Frank Seravalli, the NHL and NHLPA have agreed on new transition rules for the 2021-22 season, which includes amended critical dates for the season and upcoming offseason. In effect, most dates for things like the buy out period, contract end dates and the opening of free agency have been pushed back 10 days to two weeks time.

It's also worth noting that the NHL has left some flexibility in the schedule just in case the league is forced to suspend operations once again. But, here's hoping that won't be the case.
