The puck is set to drop on the 2021 NHL season and, for the most part, fans will not be in attendance to begin the season. While the league is hopeful that restrictions will loosen throughout the course of the season to allow ticket sales only a handful of teams will have fans in attendance on opening day.

To date, those teams are:

Arizona Coyotes - 25% capacity
Dallas Stars - 27.5% capacity
Florida Panthers - 25% capacity
Minnesota Wild - 150 capacity
Tampa Bay Lightning - 20% capacity

Now... if you're looking at that list, one team sticks out: the Minnesota Wild.

150 fans? Really? What's the point?

Honestly... why not do this in all NHL buildings? That's obviously a very glib statement given the myriad of local restrictions, but I'm willing to bet that most arenas could support having 150 additional people in the building while not putting anyone at risk. Thoughts?
