More postponed games for Flyers after outbreak on Penguins?

This just in, the Pittsburgh Penguins have placed superstar captain Sidney Crosby on the NHL's COVID-19 Protocol List and, as a result, he will not be available for tonight's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Also, the Penguins were forced to cancel this morning's skate due to protocol rules. At this point, you have to believe that tonight's game between the Penguins and Flyers might be postponed. I mean, the Flyers just came out of their own COVID-19 issues and they're supposed to play three games in five nights against the Penguins. That's a difficult spot for the league to put the Flyers in. Then again, if everyone on the Penguins can produce multiple negative tests before puck drop, what can you do? The NHL has these rules in effect for a reason, now we just have to trust that they'll work as intended.

But suffice it to say, this is a huge blow to the Penguins. If they lose Crosby for any significant length of time it could completely de-rail an already tenuous season. And that's saying nothing of the concern for Crosby if he does in fact have COVID-19. Rest up, Sid.
