Mike Sullivan shuffles his lineup with some big returns for the Penguins.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have seen their blue line decimated as a result of injury this season but thankfully it seems like this may finally be looking up.

On Saturday night, just moments before facing off against the New York Islanders, the Penguins announced that defenseman Kris Letang and defenseman Mike Matheson would both be making their return to the lineup this evening. Both men have been sidelined due to injury and with fewer games to play this season those missed games count for that much more.

The addition of a player like Letang is massive as he remains not only the organization's top defenseman, but also its most experienced player on the blue line and no doubt a leader in that group.

The return of Matheson will probably met with more of a mixed reception however, when you consider just how many injuries the Penguins have dealt with on the blue line this season, his return to this banged up Penguins blue line should also be welcomed.

It would appear that Drew O'Connor has also been recalled from the Penguins taxi squad as he has also drawn into the lineup this evening alongside the aforementioned Matheson and Letang.
