Mike Babcock gets humiliated on TSN!

Former Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings and Anaheim (Mighty) Ducks head coach Mike Babcock shocked the hockey world earlier this month when it was announced that he had accepted a position with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.

He then attempted to prove he had changed as he explained how he was wrong, most notably in the Mitch Marner incident in Toronto and during the altercation with Johan Franzen in Detroit. 

“I’m not a big media guy, following what’s going on. You know if you’re getting whacked or not. You also know in today’s world, the way it is, even the people that really value you, it’s hard for them to step up just because they’re going to get whacked. I know who I am. I know what I’ve done. Some of this doesn’t pass the smell test at all,” said Babcock, per Sportsnet’s Luke Fox on Tuesday. 

Later that same day, TSN’s OverDrive talked about Babcock and his chances of getting back behind an NHL bench, and former NHLer Jeff O’Neill flipped out and didn’t mince his words, insulting Babcock without mercy.

Ruthless! However, it does not seem like anyone else on the panel disagreed with O’Neill. 

Babcock might be a great coach, but he seems to have ways to go as a person and O’Neill was clear about that.
