Yesterday's events at the Capitol building in Washington D.C. are literally unprecedented. Without getting into the entire story, hundreds of Donald Trump supporters stormed the building in what appeared to be an attempt to stop the results of October's election from being certified. Now, at least four people are dead and President Trump is under real threat of being removed from office prior to Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20th.

Dozens of players, analysts and media members across the NHL commented on yesterday's events with most expressing disappointment in just how democracy and decorum has eroded since October. And then there's Matthew Barnaby...

The former NHL tough guy turned analyst took to Twitter to take a jab at the country that employed him his entire career, which also attempting to diminish Team USA's gold medal victory over his native Canada a day prior.

Look, I get it, Barnaby is a controversial guy and he's made a living off of saying controversial things on and off the ice. But this... this just makes my eyes roll. Anyone who gets riled up or triggered over an opinion from Matthew Barnaby has to take a serious look in the mirror. Barnaby is a clown with clown takes... what else is new?
