This is brutal to watch, as brutal as the fall…

On Thursday night during the game between the Chicago Blackhawks and Carolina Hurricanes, an unfortunate and shocking incident took place.

Poor Canes forward Martin Necas needed help to get off the ice after a big hit from Blackhawks defenseman Calvin de Haan in the last moments of the third period of the contest.

Do not worry : the hit was clean. What we all must worry about is Necas’ condition as his head came smashing hard against the ice, leaving him injury and unaware of where he was at that moment.

The 22-year-old needed help to get off the ice and should be considered questionable at best for Sunday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.  You have to imagine he suffered one heck of a concussion following this hit. Check it out, but, this is not fun to watch:

The young forward was gaining in confidence with this season’s start : he has recorded a goal and four assists in eight games and has been a revelation for the Hurricanes.

However at the moment, his health is what matters the most to him and his team. We wish him to get better soon.
