We're back for part 2 of a brutally honest question and answer session from Las Vegas Golden Knights starting netminder Robin Lehner, and if you missed part one don't worry you can check it out here for answers to who Lehner thinks is the best goalie in the NHL, the most talented player he's ever played with, and more.
Lehner has responded with more honest answers on his journey to the Sahara desert and this time around we will touch on the topics of his favorite player growing up, teams he would or would not like to play for, and even his favorite building to play in. When asked which team he would like to play for, assuming Vegas was not an option, Lehner gave an answer that will no doubt warm the hearts of fans in Buffalo.
"Buffalo and make things right," said Lehner when asked which team he would pick if he could.
While fans in Buffalo might be moved in a positive fashion by Lehner's responses, I don't think the same can be said of fans in Toronto. Lehner was asked by a Leafs fan if he would have liked to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Lehner gave a short and sweet response that left no doubt in anyone's mind.
"No," was all Lehner would say on that topic.
Lehner indicated in part one that he has a tremendous admiration for Carey Price as a person given his ability to play in a difficult Canadian market like Montreal, and I suspect that Lehner views the challenges of playing for the Leafs much the same way.
That's not to say he doesn't like Canadian teams, much to the contrary. When asked about his favorite player growing up, Lehner simply stated that it was Miikka Kiprusoff of the Calgary Flames that he had grown up admiring most of all.
Fans of the New York Islanders also got some love from Lehner during his question and answer session. Not only did he state that the people of Long Island were what he missed most from his time there, but he also gave the Coliseum a shout out as his favorite arena to play in around the league.
