Leafs lose rookie Nick Robertson to long-term injury

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that rookie forward Nick Robertson will be out of the team's lineup long-term and subsequently has been added to the Leafs' long-term injury reserve.

This means that Robertson will be out of the lineup for at least 10 games or one month. 

The 19 year old former OHL scoring leader was expected by many analysts to be a frontrunner for the Calder Trophy as the NHL's rookie of the year for the 2021 season. While he could still get himself back into that conversation, it's difficult to see the kid making such a big impact over 40 or so games.
