Leafs fan trolls live Sportsnet broadcast multiple times

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens' meet tonight for a pivotal Game 3 in their first round, best of seven Stanley Cup Playoffs series. This much we know: The series is tied, the Habs are injecting some youth into their lineup and the Leafs will be without captain John Tavares for the foreseeable future.

What we don't know yet is who will come out of this historical matchup. But, whether it's the Leafs or the Habs, I think fans of both teams can appreciate the work of Leafs fan Alex Rennie this past week. The self proclaimed Leafs super fan somehow managed to figure out when and where Rogers Sportsnet would be shooting their pre-game promo videos for Games 1 and 2 in Toronto and... well he trolled all of Canada by working his way into the background of Sportsnet's promos.

Check out this absolute legend, rocking a Leafs jersey that reads "Sixty". The number? Well, it's 9 of course.

But that's not all... the legend couldn't help himself and managed to work himself into the background of yet another Sportsnet broadcast.

Honestly, take a seat Dart Guy. We've got a new viral video superfan in Toronto and his name is Alex Rennie.

I'm hoping this series goes seven games if for no other reason than I'd love to see Mr. Rennie on camera before all four Leafs' home games in the series. Hell, I'm pulling for the Leafs to go all the way to the Stanley Cup Final just so I can get this guy some more camera time. If Dart Guy, the Leafs fan who painted his face during the team's 2017 playoff series against the Washington Capitals, can get himself a scouting job thanks to his 15 minutes of fame, then what can we expect for Rennie? If nothing else the dude deserves a shout out from the Sportsnet crew. Hell, I'd much rather listen to his analysis and insight on things than half of Sportsnet's on air talent. Give the dude a platform and let's hear what big number 69 has to say... he's wearing the captain's "C" for a reason, right?
