You had to expect it. The fact that the Toronto Maple Leafs once again managed to lose a first-round series and see their postseason dreams come to an end is going to get talked about for the rest of the summer.

The Leafs choking to the Montreal Canadiens in Game 7 on Monday night not only inspire fans to insult the team, but also prompted this fan to create a song about the loss and how devastated he was to live this experience AGAIN!

Rob Hughes is a passionate fan of the Maple Leafs and simply expected things to be different this postseason, with the addition of Joe Thornton and Nick Foligno, to name a few. Hopes were crushed on Monday night and inspired Rob to write this song. He was also inspired by Adam Sandler’s character in The Wedding Singer : some of you will remember the rhythm of the song and you have to say it fits perfectly!

Warning though: this video contains language that is not suited for a working environment or children.

This song will catch on no doubt! Adam Sandler would be proud. We have to say that, while Rob’s reaction to his favourite team is not as tough as other fans who burnt their jerseys and smashed their TVs, we love the creativity and we are sure the song will resonates with several other fans.
