Leafs continue to hammer the waiver wire

This just in, the Toronto Maple Leafs have placed forward Denis Malgin on waivers.

It's worth noting that Malgin is currently on load to Lausanne in the Swiss National League.

Zack Smith of the Chicago Blackhawks cleared waivers yesterday. The Leafs also waived defenseman David Warsofsky this past weekend, as well. He went unclaimed.

Expect a lot more waiver wire action over the course of this week as NHL coaches and general managers work down to the wire to get their team's rosters in place for the league's January 13th start date.
