NHL super agent JP Barry was on the Donnie and Dhali show with Don Taylor and Rick Dhaliwal earlier today to discuss his ongoing contract negotiations for clients Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes and Vancouver Canucks GM Jim Benning and... well, buckle up Canucks fans.

Barry was adamant that both Pettersson and Hughes, who will have their contracts negotiated as a package deal, will likely be looking at shorter "bridge" contracts, as opposed to long-term extensions. Barry was also insistent that he believes elite players, which of course Pettersson and Hughes are, will still demand top dollars even in a flat salary cap, post COVID-19 NHL landscape.
