Fans in Chicago won’t like to hear this. On Tuesday, it was announced that Kirby Dach will not be in the Blackhawks lineup tonight as they take on the Carolina Hurricanes. The team announced prior to tonight’s puck drop that Dach would be out due to right wrist scar tissue aggravation.

This is concerning news for the young forward who returned to the Blackhawks on March 27th after suffering a broken wrist in December at the World Junior Championships. His return was one month ahead of schedule after being given a four-to-five month timetable for the recovery of the surgery he underwent to repair the broken wrist.

In 18 games this season, Dach has tallied two goals and ten points, averaging 18:34 minutes per game.

If Dach needs to sit out longer and be back to full health in the future, the Hawks need to allow him the time to heal properly.

We will get more updates on his condition in the coming days.
