Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen has been known throughout the course of his career for flashy artwork on his masks, coinciding with his nickname of "Jake the Snake".
Allen, who has artist extraordinaire Dave Gunnarsson of DaveArt as his mask painter, once again utilized his trademark "snakeskin" design on his new lid for the 2021-22 NHL Season, as well as incorporating a nod to his native Canadian province of New Brunswick.

A member of the Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues squad of 2019, Allen is set to begin his second season as backup to Carey Price with the Habs. He posted a record of 11-12-5 during the 2020-21 shortened campaign, along with a 2.68 goals against average and .907 save percentage.
