Ryan Donato, son of longtime NHLer Ted Donato, has signed a one year $750,000 contract with the Seattle Kraken.

Check it out:

The 25 year old Donato scored six goals and 20 points in 50 games with the San Jose Sharks last season. While Donato was considered a top prospect after being selected 56th overall by the Boston Bruins back in 2014, the shifty forward has failed to make a big impact at the NHL level thus far. He has spun his tires with the Bruins, the Minnesota Wild and most recently with the Sharks. You have to imagine that if he fails to cement himself as a regular, every day NHLer with the Kraken then he'll likely have a hard time finding a contract next offseason. In other words: it's make or break time for the Boston native.
