It's truly the end of an era in the National Hockey League, as goaltender Henrik Lundqvist has decided to call it a career after 15 seasons. The 2012 Vezina Trophy winner and five-time All-Star had to undergo open heart surgery prior to last season, keeping him off the ice and preventing his ever suiting up for the Washington Capitals following a buyout from the New York Rangers

Nicknamed "The King", Ludqvist provided hockey fans with no shortage of memories over the course of his time with the Rangers. Let's throw it back to one of his greatest moments that fans won't ever forget, as he sealed the 2012 Winter Classic victory for his squad by stopping Philadelphia Flyers forward Danny Briere on a penalty shot late in regulation:
