UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM.

Bad news in Calgary. The Flames have just announced that the team will not hold a morning skate today as a precaution due to one positive player test from yesterday’s COVID-19 testing. The player is in isolation and all other staff/players have tested negative.

However, we need to wait and see what happens in the coming hours, seeing that the Flames are set to the Montreal Canadiens as the game is scheduled for 7:00 PM MT/9:00 PM ET.

The Flames defeated the Canadiens 4-1 on Wednesday. Both teams are not only schedule to face one another tonight, but two more times in the coming days as this upcoming contest is the second of a four-game set between the two teams.

Calgary is currently chasing Montreal for the fourth and final playoff spot in the All-Canadien North Division, sitting eight points back with one less game in hand.

UPDATE: The Flames announced that the game on Friday will take place. Josh Leivo is the player that tested positive and is in isolation and all other staff/players have tested negative. Per Chris Johnston of Sportsnet, Leivo has been added to the NHL's COVID Protocol list.
