In case you missed it last night, the Montreal Canadiens extended their life by at least one more game, getting past the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in overtime in Game 4 to force a Game 5 on Wednesday in Tampa, Florida.

It was an entertaining game that featured some fast back and forth play and culminated with an incredible effort from Habs forward Josh Anderson in OT. Anderson drove the net hard, managed to get the puck to the net and then scored on his own rebound with a miraculous diving effort.

Check it out:

And just like that the Habs a little bit of life in them. The Stanley Cup was packed up and shipped back down to Florida for Game 5 where it will awaait the result and find out if it's headed back north of the border for the final time this season.

There are some early reports however that Wednesday night's game could be postponed due to Hurricane Elsa in the area. The hurricane was downgraded to a tropical storm this past weekend but it's expected to hit Tampa on Wednesday and may impact the game's schedule. Multiple outlets including Sportsnet and TSN have reported on the potential issue.

In his latest 31 Thoughts podcast for Sportsnet, here's what NHL insider Elliotte Friedman had to say:

"The only thing I'm not looking forward to for Game 5 is that there's a tropical storm headed toward Tampa on Wednesday morning. Now... we're under the impression that the game is going to be played on Wednesday night... but you never know what could happen."

After two seasons of postponed and rescheduled games due to COVID-19, this will seem like just another day at the office for these players. It just stinks that we may have to endure one more postponement and it's with the season on the line. Of course, with a natural disaster set to hit the area, hockey is not a priority. Here's hoping that everyone in the Tampa area makes it through in one piece so that they can get back to celebrating their team's success.
