In case you missed the news last week, reports surfaced that Columbus Blue Jackets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois and his agent are seeking a trade out of Columbus. Despite this, Dubois signed a new two year agreement with the club but is still adamant that he wants a change of scenery.

There's plenty of speculation as to why Dubois wants out, but so far the player hasn't come forward with any details. All we know is that Dubois wants out and head coach John Tortorella claims that Dubois has confronted his teammates with the news.

Check it out:

Look, I may not be the biggest Torts fan in the world but I think he's 100% right in this situation. You can't tell me that the guy doesn't handle his problems head on. One year ago his team was in this exact same situation when star players Artemi Panarin's and Sergei Bobrovsky's futures with the team were in doubt. Torts and the Blue Jackets confronted those issues head on and came together as a team as a result. Here's hoping they can get as amicable a result this time around.

In the meantime though, where will Dubois end up? It's easy to forget that this is a 22 year old burgeoning star here. Plenty of teams will be and should be interested in his services, but at the same time he's a HUGE part of the Blue Jackets' core. Suffice it to say it could be an interesting season in Ohio.
