Draisaitl dunks on Edmonton media after ridiculous question following blowout loss to Leafs
Sportsnet

In case you missed it last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs absolutely beat the wheels off of the Edmonton Oilers by a score of 6-1. It was the third straight consecutive victory for the Leafs in their mini-series against the Oilers, a series in which the Leafs outscored the Oilers 13-1. So... what gives?

Oilers superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl were shut out in the series and the Edmonton media was hammering the team's leaders for their performance in last night's post-game press conference. Draisaitl though wasn't taking the bait. When asked a ridiculous question by veteran Edmonton Sun reporter Rob Tychkowski, Draisaitl offered up a biting response.

Check out this frosty interaction:

The sarcasm on display here is just... it's a thing of beauty.

I know that a lot of traditionalists out there will either slam Draisaitl for being unprofessional or will criticize Tychkowski for asking a dumb question, but I honestly love stuff like this. There aren't enough moments like this in the press where an NHLer and a member of the media clash right in front of our eyes. If it does happen, and let's be real it only ever happens with John Tortorella, it's an absolute must-see moment and it can sometimes serve to fire up a team and a fanbase.

So, more dumb questions, please! Keep 'em coming until Draisaitl gets a concussion from rolling his eyes too hard.
